HOT LAYERS

The classic combo of a brown jacket, white top, blue jeans and a thick leather belt will never go out of style. Within that theme, there's room for numerous variations. The woman above chose layers to be cozy, including a long scarf, but did not shy away from a little sexy appeal by picking a low-cut tee with a flash of midriff. She added a fitted thin cardigan, with blue and white stripes, to remain cute upon removal of the jacket, which, by the way, had some nice sweater touches around the sleeves and collar.

JEAN HOLES

Just because jeans have holes, it doesn't make them hot. I have yet to find an academic theory of hole size and placement to define what makes a pair of jeans fantastic and another cheesier than Switzerland. The fact is that some rips work, while others don't. I'm this close to concluding that this is one of those fashion things that only flies with the right body. Only sure rule: always show more fabric than holes. Discretion does it best.

JEAN ELEGANCE

Jeans tighter than a Toyota screw become a dressy item when matched with a navy-style jacket, with big buttons and a thick scarf. Keep the jacket short enough to barely cover the belt and add flair with knee-hi shiny boots.

SHEER BLACK TOPS

Sheer black tops, which are just transparent enough to catch a glimpse of streamlined black bras and flesh, are definitely one of the sexiest fashion choices around. Subtle, yet randy like Hugh Jackman and Megan Fox stuck in an elevator. They come in the form of buttoned t-shirts and sweaters, with long and short sleeves, and are best worn tucked into low-cut jeans with all styles of bomber jackets.

COLORFUL FALL LAYERS

Fall colors, like fall leaves, come in all kinds of shades between yellow and dark brown. Bright, warm colors are not banned. Take this basic t-shirt and jeans combo, layer it with a yellow and burnt orange sweater and a brownish-red leather jacket and bring joy to a world filled with seasonal black.

DARK GRAY JEANS

Contemporary female cowgirls leave their Colts and holsters at home when they go shopping, but they carry their gritty coolness at all times. Dark gray jeans and rugged hi-heel brown boots go together like a horse and a saddle.

STAR TANK TOP

Often, it's good to keep things simple. This low-cut tank top and hip-hugging jeans needed only super shades to create that Jessica-Biel-goes-shopping look.

KILLER TANK

Skinny jeans, open-toe heels and a fiery red and black tank top make a very sexy and uninhibited statement. The wide shoulders and elegant neckline contribute to the impact. Do not be fooled by the innocent bangs and ponytail. There is more wilderness in this woman than in a Kenyan reserve.

SLEEK TUBE, RUGGED JEANS

Few things make rugged old jeans look sexier than a tube top and a pair of starlet shades. Feel free to play around with all kinds of colors for various eye-catching effects. And, as illustrated above, do practice leaning on walls in a dramatic fashion to get the best out of your outfit.

CONTRASTING TEXTURES

Take a pair of tough, slightly ripped jeans and match them with a lose linen or cotton top, with a wide neckline. Keep the colors on top light (beige or off-white). Add superstar shades. Take to the street. Get your picture taken, cool duck.

LET IT FLOW

Ripped jeans, rain boots and a leather jacket can come across as pretty badass, which is not necessarily a wrong thing. But the wise choice of a clingy flowing white top, asymmetric and fairly low cut, brings womanly flair to the table. Note also the layer created by a thin black sweater between the top and the jacket.

SMOKING BERMUDA

I'm one of those weirdos who does not find smoking sexy. But here comes the tacky pun: she would've been smoking without the nicotine stick. The bermuda-style jeans are rarely seen and bring more flair than your average shorts. These ones have a vintage vibe to boot. Paired with a low-cut colorful tank top, laced heels and Hollywood shades, the overall thing delivers the perfect dose of daytime street-glam.

WHAT THE...?

This thing zoomed by me too fast to dissect it properly. Under torture, I wouldn't be able to say where the top ends and the bra begins. What made it fly was the beautifully shaped back (if you got it, show it) and the fact that she cut through the crowd as if she had just purchased the world and someone owed her change. This idea won't work for everyone, but she rocked it that day.
