HOT LAYERS

The classic combo of a brown jacket, white top, blue jeans and a thick leather belt will never go out of style. Within that theme, there's room for numerous variations. The woman above chose layers to be cozy, including a long scarf, but did not shy away from a little sexy appeal by picking a low-cut tee with a flash of midriff. She added a fitted thin cardigan, with blue and white stripes, to remain cute upon removal of the jacket, which, by the way, had some nice sweater touches around the sleeves and collar.

URBAN EXPLORER

There was a time when cargo pants could be seen on every woman, except those actually working at loading docks. Like many trends, this one came and went, but not without leaving a trace. I was happy to see this outfit go by. It really evoked that whole urban explorer spirit. The pants had a rough attitude, while fitting in a most complimentary way. The jacket had that vintage retro matinee serial vibe and the studded leather belt was exactly what was needed to accentuate the waist. Note that without that accent the outfit would've lost some of its fun curviness.

CASUAL SPORTY MINI

Mini-skirts can be the ultimate seduction weapon, but sometimes fashionable women chose to casual them down in various ways. One of my favorites is the sporty twist, wherein a short mini is combined with an athletic jacket. The effect is sexy, yet understated. You can go all black or try color variations, particularly with oranges, yellows or blues.

SHINY BLACK RAIN COAT

If The Matrix taught us one thing is that shiny leather coats are cool, even in world's that don't really exist. For women, a three-quarter rain coat is recommended. Sleek and stylish. Anything longer and you might get cast in the next Rob Zombie flick, which, depending on your taste, might not be such a bad idea.

FUR, LEATHER & YELLOW

Siberia is in. Sports Illustrated models are scouted in trains from Moscow to Vladisvostok. I sense an influence here. This brown leather jacket with fur collar and sleeves goes down smoother than ice-cold vodka with a long yellow skirt. Whether blonde or brunette, a woman should never underestimate the power of yellow. It's no wonder Chinese consider it a royal color. And whether the fur is real or synthetic, it's a matter of choice.

JEAN ELEGANCE

Jeans tighter than a Toyota screw become a dressy item when matched with a navy-style jacket, with big buttons and a thick scarf. Keep the jacket short enough to barely cover the belt and add flair with knee-hi shiny boots.

BLACK LEATHER & RED SKIRT

There is no secret here. Slip into a red skirt and keep everything else black (heels, nylons, purse and leather jacket) and watch pedestrians ram into buildings. It's an obvious stylish choice, yet, few wear it.

URBAN TOMB RAIDER

When Lara Croft raids tombs in cold countries, she wears this. Whether you are in the archaeology looting business or just studying to be in it, make note of this cool approach to stay warm and sexy on those windy fall afternoons. The aviator glasses are an essential compliment to the G.I. Joe hooded jacket. And do keep that hair out to flow with the long scarf.

THAT PERFECT JEAN JACKET

Never neglect the sweetness of the right (short) jean jacket. Keep the blue dark, rich and classic and use it as the perfect caper for a black scarf and a slinky gray jersey dress. Roll up them sleeves and watch Jimmy Dean smile in his grave.

WHITE WITH BLACK V

As Sharon Stone has properly demonstrated on numerous occasions, a blonde in white and black will always look striking. Wear the white on top, in the form of a coat or jacket, and slip into a form-fitted V-neck black T-shirt or sweater for a subtle touch of hotness. Those ultra-tight dress pants, preferably in white also, will complete the working femme fatale vibe.

BOMBER SENSUAL

Brown, gray and black (not necessarily in that order) appears to be the winning color combination in the street this season. When matched, the colors can be applied to either the boots, top or jacket. Here, a fur collar brings a retro-bomber touch to the mix, while the ribbed dress-top brings clever attention to the chest. Tough, yet sensual.

PLUNGING WHITE T

If you don't own one of these plunging V-Ts, you are either still living with your religiously conservative mother or sexy is just not your thing. Acquire one made with thin clingy fabric and get creative with variations on the biker jacket theme to jazz it up.

BLUE AVIATOR

In a season when jacket and coat color choices vary almost exclusively between brown, dark brown, black and darker black, this striking blue piece is to be commended. I'm a sucker for aviator glasses, 'cuz I think they throw me back to the days of pinup paintings on bomber planes. I like the fact they stand the test of time better than most chapters in the Bible.

CHECKER RED DRESS

Always looking for ways to stay hot in the cold. This red checker dress has the right dosage of cute and sexy, while sailing smoothly with a leather jacket and brown boots. Observe the comfy leg warmers rolled up to the knee. Warm nylons are a better choice than leggings here. While leggings can certainly heat up most tops, they do take something away from a dress. Not as bad as wearing a dress over jeans, though. That idea was as useful as a convertible submarine.

CAPPING IT WELL

Going to the supermarket in style is a "must', according to an anonymous French fashionista: one never knows where one's picture may be taken. While stiletto boots, a black leather jacket with copper buttons and a shirt, long enough not to cover too much, do most of the work for this leggy outfit, it is the all-black baseball-slash-horseback riding cap that brings a touch of cuteness and uniqueness to the concept. Trucker hats with words that begin in "Ed" and end in "Hardy" would achieve quite the opposite result.

SHEER BLACK TOPS

Sheer black tops, which are just transparent enough to catch a glimpse of streamlined black bras and flesh, are definitely one of the sexiest fashion choices around. Subtle, yet randy like Hugh Jackman and Megan Fox stuck in an elevator. They come in the form of buttoned t-shirts and sweaters, with long and short sleeves, and are best worn tucked into low-cut jeans with all styles of bomber jackets.

COLORFUL FALL LAYERS

Fall colors, like fall leaves, come in all kinds of shades between yellow and dark brown. Bright, warm colors are not banned. Take this basic t-shirt and jeans combo, layer it with a yellow and burnt orange sweater and a brownish-red leather jacket and bring joy to a world filled with seasonal black.

DENIM AND WORKOUT PANTS

Here's an idea as old as yoga. Complete your intense workout, then get on with your day without a full change of clothes by upgrading your super tight, curve-hugging workout outfit into fashionable street wear with a short jean jacket and a scarf. Slinky, casual and bodacious.

DENIM BACK ON TOP

I haven't seen too many out in the street yet, but they are starting to return like hesitant wildebeest to the river after a crocodile strike. The fact is that denim shirts and jackets should never be out of style. It's up to designers to keep them updated. Try classic blues and whites on top and get creative with the bottom. Denim's biggest quality is its ability to go with anything.

SCHOOLGIRL SKIRT DONE WELL

The private school skirt brings a sexy note to this leather jacket and oversized sweater pairing. I appreciated the blend of fall colors in this outfit. To wear whenever waiting alone on a rainy night, as seen above. It is oddly romantic.
